Shower Enclosures For Wet Rooms With Profile Adjustment
These walk in shower screens for wet room enclosures are extremely simple to install, with a unique chrome wall profile that is adjustable both ends (for untrue walls) supplied as standard. The chrome wall profile also provides concealed fixing covers for a beautiful finish. We also supply a telescopic support arm for added screen rigidity, which extends from 800mm to 1200mm.
Do Walk In Shower Screens Need To Be Fitted In A Wet Room?
Not necessarily, no. Walk-in screens are becoming more and more popular as bath replacements. If you are replacing a bath in an upstairs bathroom, it is sometimes better and safer to install a low-level shower tray. This ensures no leakage and will also provide the correct drainage angles for peace of mind. This said, wet rooms are great and these shower screens will benefit any new wet room.
Enclosure Design
The great thing about wetroom shower screens is the way you can embrace so many different designs. You can have a design with two or three wetroom screens to form an enclosure or just have a single panel for a minimalist design. The profile height is the same across all sizes of our screens, so you can mix and match the shower screens to great effect. For a design with a difference, you can also use our wetroom screens with flipper to prevent water spillage. These enclosure screens are also manufactured from 8mm glass thickness with the same wet room screen height and profile adjustment to allow for a seamless enclosure design across the two different products.

You will also need to consider showers for your wetroom enclosure and there are a variety of designs to suit all tastes. What Is Easy-Clean Screen Nano Coating?
Easy-clean nano screen coating is a special formulated covering on the glass the allows the water to run off much quicker, therefore eliminating the build-up of limescale found in water. When glass screen shower enclosures are manufactured, the glass is naturally quite rough if looked at under a microscope. The indents are very fine and cannot be seen with the naked eye, but these indents hinder the water running freely down the glass. Our special wetroom screen coating fills in these indents, leaving an incredibly smooth finish that allows the water to run freely to the bottom of the glass onto the shower tray or wet-room floor.
Why 8mm Glass? Wet room shower enclosures
Traditionally have been manufactured using 6mm glass. However, early on, we realised that 6mm is a little on the thin side for what can be a hazardous area, with wet, slippy floors. We realised then need to strengthen the glass and we were one of the first companies to go down the route of 8mm glass. This extra thickness makes a huge difference to the strength of a wetroom shower glass screen, and will safely withstand slips and knocks, even in the most hazardous areas, such as the corners and edges. Worried About Space For Your Enclosure?
Modern enclosure designs can be fitted into minimal areas, the main issues tend to be where the toilet waste is and where the windows are. With profile adjustment, we recommend not having an opening of less than 500mm but this is obviously down to personal preference. Product information including sizes can be found in the table above.
Linear Drain or Standard Waste?
Often this is down to personal preference rather than the design of the shower enclosure or wet room. Some of our modern designer shower trays include a nice looking waste cap but these actually have a standard waste underneath. Alternatively, linear drains are also very popular but these need to be chosen when designing the shower enclosure or wet room so that they can be fitted in-situ.
